Job Description

Do you have experience of performing scheduling in a fast-moving, dynamic environmentDo you have experience of leading a team, motivating, coaching and support them with their developmentConsider the role of Scheduling Manager with Reed in Partnership!Reed in Partnership’s mission is to positively transform people and their communities. We are a public service provider specialising predominately in delivering employment services across the UK. We have also diversified our business across a number of other sectors. This role will specifically be working on our DVSA programme delivering the Theory Test Centre service.What the role is about:The Scheduling Manager is part of the Programme Support Team, reporting to the Head of Programme Support. In this role you would be responsible for the successful coordination and delivery of Reed in Partnership’s Test Centre Network.Key Responsibilities:

  • Continuously analyse MI, proactively reviewing data to identify demand trends across the year. Use the results of the analysis to manage, adjust capacity of, opening hours of individual test centres to respond to local demand and meet contract specific KPIs.
  • Create and amend sites within the Test Centre Network reflecting capacity changes and assets.
  • Provide regular reports to senior management around scheduling (including performance reporting at a Test Centre level). Working closely to support the Head of Programme Support who will hold the ultimate responsibility on decisions regarding vis-à-vis scheduling.
  • Building and maintaining an effective team of Programme Support Executives.

  • Hold a degree/relevant qualification & a minimum of 2 A-levels or equivalent Level 3 Diploma.
  • Significant experience of performing scheduling in a fast-moving, dynamic environment in a similar/relevant industry such as logistics/resource planning.
  • Experience of developing & maintaining strong, co-operative stakeholder relationships to facilitate effective delivery.
  • Evidence of effectively leading a team, motivating, coaching & supporting them with their development.
  • Experience of developing internal relationships with other key team managers to ensure cross-functional team interactions & the promotion of collaborative working.
  • Essential Criteria:
  • High level IT literacy & the ability to use scheduling software.
  • Advanced Excel Experience
  • A good understanding of Supply Chain Management or Supply & Demand Modelling
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Commercial awareness/acumen.
  • Ability to create & communicate strategic planning documents.
  • Dynamic decision maker.
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships across the business & with external partners.
  • A focus on quality & continuous improvement.
