Job Description

Job Title: Sales ManagerCompany Name: Xinlung Group LtdDepartment: UKEC OverseasLine Manager: UKEC Operations ManagerContract Type: Full-time PermanentWorking Hours: 37.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday (9:00-17:30)Location: St James’ Building, 79 Oxford Street, Manchester, M1 6FQSalary: £28000-£30000 per annum + Bonus up to £6000Probation Length: 6 monthsAnnual Holiday: 22 days plus public holidaysUKEC, part of Xinlung Group Ltd is a well-known international educational consultancy, we are looking for a competent Sales Manager to be responsible for recruiting international students from the designated regions within Southeast Asia, such as Vietnam and Malaysia in particular. The key responsibilities of the Sales Manager include but are not limited to:

  • Taking full responsibility for the international student recruitment in designated markets and actively lead the sales team and the support staff to achieve signing targets and enrolment targets.
  • Liaising with UKEC senior management to determine the range of application management products and services offered to our potential customers.
  • Contributing to the development of sales strategies and setting of sales targets to boost recruitment numbers for our partner colleges and universities.
  • Performing market research for designated markets: assigning sales tasks to the team to strengthen sales performance in the current markets and develop sales performance in the new markets and collecting students’ reactions to the Company as well as the competitors’ service, packages, prices proactively to support better sales related decisions.
  • Planning and organising online & offline sales activities to increase the signing figures as well as to enhance enrolment rates, manage event budgets, and assess events’ outcomes with analysis reports.
  • Recruiting and developing the team: selecting qualified candidates and providing training to ensure the team members are able to handle students’ accounts with high-quality professional consultation and the required sales skills & knowledge.
  • Overview & monitoring all related student application plans and application progress and maintain high customer satisfaction rate.
  • Collecting and consolidating students’ needs actively to optimize customer experience continuously. (Co-operating and communicating with customer service team is always required.)
  • Managing a high-performing team by setting clear team objectives, strictly following the operational procedures & company policies, providing team members with constant feedback & regular appraisals, fostering company culture, etc.
  • Being responsible for annual action plans, monthly & quarterly reports, enrolment summaries, bursary summaries, sales & expenditure reports, etc.
  • Being available for ad hoc and regular company training where necessary and be prepared to deliver information sessions at regular company meetings. Also, be available for university information sessions and familiarisation trips.
  • Managing daily administrative tasks at the centre level
  • Perform other ad hoc duties as designated by the line manager.
  • Required Qualification, Knowledge, Skills and Experiences:
  • A university degree in any discipline;
  • Considerable previous experience in the international education recruitment industry;
  • Fluency in English and Vietnamese.
  • Strong market research skills and analytical skills;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • With good business and market sense;
  • Be familiar with the practice of international student recruitment in Southeast Asia and development trend in the UK;
  • Be able to meet deadlines and work well under pressure;
  • Be able to demonstrate initiative to work efficiently;
  • The successful candidate must, by the start of the employment, have permission to work full-time in the UK.
  • DesiredKnowledge, Skills and Experiences.
  • Knowledge of the Southeast Asian international student market in the UK, in particular Vietnam and Malaysia;
  • Knowledge of law-related university courses in the UK such as Barrister Training Course (BTC), Legal Practice Course (LPC) and so on.
  • A UK degree in Business or Marketing is preferred
