Job Description

RTA Team Leader -Salary up to £55,000 per annum plus BonusManchester - Hybrid workingBenefits

  • 3/2 days working from home pattern shift

The FirmA well-established Personal Injury & Clinical Negligence Law firm, ranked in the top ten for the Best Law Firm to work for in the UK by Best Companies.This firm is committed to their employees with a wide range of great benefits including hybrid working and bonus incentives, they also have an active social committee with a generous departmental social budget.Minimum of 4 years PQE (Solicitor or Cilex)*Duties:*The successful candidate will be a hands-on manager who will also handle their own caseload of litigated RTA matters and manage a team of RTA fee earners.
  • Undertake discussions and negotiations with Insured, Insurer, and Third-Party Solicitors to pursue the rapid and appropriate settlement of cases and the apportionment of costs
  • Review liability, damages, and evidence
  • Assess liability disputes and issue Court proceedings as appropriate
  • Undertake Court Telephone Hearings to ensure progress is maximised and all actions have been undertaken to bring the case to settlement
  • Progress cases from inception to conclusion
  • Prepare Court Bundles and brief Counsel where necessary
  • Efficiently use Proclaim case management system
Requirements
  • Proven billing track record of handling a litigated caseload.
  • Management experience
  • 1-2-1 meetings
  • Genuine tenacity.
  • A focus on advancing cases to and through litigation to achieve the best possible outcome for our clients.
  • Knowledge of the civil procedure rules
  • Knowledge of the Proclaim case management system.
  • You must be able to work under limited supervision
  • Manage your own time effectively, with initiative and discipline
  • You must be able to work to targets and deadlines
