XYZ Rail have an exciting opportunity for a Rope Access Technician to join the team.Location: North WestSalary: CompetitiveAbout Us:If you love climbing, we might have a perfect opportunity for you, due works such as the Transpennine Route Upgrade and HS2 we have opportunities available to be part of our growing business, we are looking for rope access technicians to work across theNorth West.We deliver design, construction, maintenance, and enhancement projects for both the rail and non-rail sectors, offering complete packages encompassing buildings and civils, structures, earthworks & geotechnical, lineside infrastructure, vegetation clearance,fencing, drainage and permanent way works.We manage specialist industrial and commercial schemes such as multi-model distribution warehousing, office buildings, rail to road transport interchange depots and maintenance facilities. We also deliver groundworks and civils and install all types of pavementsincluding ALL Weather surfacing for racetracks, aircraft stands and aprons, wood storage facilities, lorry parks etc.We have a specialist fleet of Rail and Civils Plant and Equipment which as well as servicing our contracts and is available for External Hire.We provide Logistics and Storage (Including Major Incident Response) 24hr service individually bespoke for clients needs and requirements.Rope Access TechnicianThe Role:Rope Access operatives are utilised for works in hard-to-reach places, without the benefit of a scaffold or work platforms. If you are prepared to work hard with us as we grow our business, we will give you all the training and technical qualifications youwill need to build your career with us.Rope Access TechnicianKey Responsibilities:- Have a conscious approach to safety culture, and be seen to actively promote safety when working at height- Be comfortable working at altitudes other people would find problematic- Work at height using a wide range of tools in a physically demanding environment- Be capable of planning and discussing with the Rope Access Supervisor their own access/egress and rescue arrangements- Be capable of methodical thinking and problem solving- Have a good work ethic with an eye for attention to detailRope Access TechnicianYou:- Previous experience in Rope Access / Geo-technical and civil engineering works- An up-to-date PTS/ Sentinel card an advantage but training can be provided.- Experience in Rope Access / Geo-technical works- Civils / rail background- Small tools (chainsaw etc)- IRATA - L1 to L3- High standard of work, reliable, punctual, with a positive attitude- Full UK driving licence is essentialOther construction skill sets too would be advantageous: i.e.; 360 excavator, telehandler, chainsaw, slinger banksman etc.What can you expectYou can expect a competitive hourly rate with great earnings potential and a package that includes a great pension scheme, 28 days annual leave, access to an Employee Assistance ProgrammeOur Core Values, known as the Three Cs: Creative; Considerate and Collaborative define who we are, how we do business, how we treat our people, clients and stakeholders and the beliefs by which we will guide our actions, set direction, and plan for ourfuture every day.We all have the potential to shape our world, at XYZ we are innovative and are continually developing creative solutions to real challenges. and we work together to solve problems that need to be solved.
