Our client provides complete Supply Chain Solutions, specialising in transportation, logistics, freight forwarding and warehousing. They lead the industry with their innovative and customisable solutions. They are now looking to recruit an EU Road ExportCoordinator to join their busy team in Manchester. The role is to manage and oversee the export of goods for assigned accounts by road to the EU. Charging, costing and arranging the movement of goods and consignments, flow of paperwork to ensure Customs clearances are processed quickly and both collectionsand deliveries are made in good time.Managing the complete export process for a shipment for specified accounts, from start to finish. To liaise with overseas offices, partners and agents and assist in the smooth running of operations for the department.Key duties and responsibilities- To understand and utilise all elements of the export process.- To manage and meet required internal and external KPIs- To keep up to date on all regulatory requirements governing EU exports.- To ensure compliance with the customs regulations of the UK- To transpose customs declaration information from documents, and or other data sources, into the customs brokerage system accurately.- To correspond with clients and carriers as required in a timely manner- Responsibility for costing jobs and ensuring maximum profitability for the organisation.- Establishing contacts and relationships with suppliers to ensure efficient working practices- Ability to manage deadlines and sometimes difficult situations, therefore an element of negotiation is required in order to be able to meet timescales.Qualifications and key skills* We are looking for applying candidates to have some knowledge or experience in the following areas air, road or ocean movements, training will also be provided * Any experience in customs documentation and procedures, transport procedures, shipping schedules, freight tariffs and rates, ability to raise and complete documentation is desirable * Education - GCSE - English and Maths required * Skills - tenacious, well organised, friendly, detail oriented, completer/finisher. outgoing and friendly, and commercially aware.* Abilities - Strong administrative skills, works well under pressure. Good communicator - both written and verbal.
