Job Description

Retail Account Manager - A gorgeous role for someone motivated and pro-active looking for a growing business in Manchester and an Account Manager position dealing with one 15Mil turnover Key AccountLovely salary - holidays benefits and a strong career move! ( Supply Chain - Key Account 0 Distribution - Variety - multi-Task - team player )The Role:As Account Manager, your role will be to manage the day to day running of given categories within a large key account in the Account Management team. You will be working to agreed KPIs to deliver exemplary service and meet clients Phase 3 Supplier expectations. START Dec - Jan (2 stage process)Key Responsibilities

  • Arranging, attending, and documenting category meetings, both in house and with the customer. Identifying actions, facilitating customers requests and ensuring we deliver to their requirements.
  • Support our Design and Buying teams by providing relevant data and product knowledge to drive profit and positive new development that meets the customers strategic brief
  • Negotiate prices using our costing methodology, to arrive at the agreed margins and present to Senior Management team for sign off.
  • Build a comprehensive knowledge of the given product categories through competitor analysis and benchmarking. Present findings to internal stake holders and the customer seasonally, to demonstrate a full understanding of the categories in terms of scaleand opportunity.
  • Drive the Pre-Production process from concept through to delivery to store, ensuring stakeholders have completed all aspects of the critical path on time and raising any concerns to Senior Management prior to final deadlines.
  • Completing all customer related product documentation on time, in detail and to the requirements, gathering information from relevant stake holders where needed.
  • Working as part of the wider key account team across all areas of the business from Design, QC, Merchandising, Accounts and Warehousing, completing and updating all required documents accurately to ensure processes are followed and stakeholders are fullyupdated on the customers present requirements.
Key Competencies
  • Ideally at least 4 years experience of working within Supply, progressing to Account Manager Level.
  • Ideally having worked with High Street / Supermarket retailers and have experience of leading supplier meetings with Head office peers
  • Experience of a stock holding business and an understanding of the complexities of being part of a DTS supply team.
  • Must have an understanding of Far East manufacturing including costs / MOQs / lead-times
  • Must have a solid understanding of and be able to create and drive a critical path.
  • Confident with costings, taking quoted prices and adding associated costs. Having the ability to take action to arrive at an agreeable margin and have excellent attention to detail to ensure costs are logged and kept updated accurately.
  • Previous experience within Home textiles / ceramic product areas preferred but not essential.
