Residential Conveyancing ParalegalLocation: ManchesterSalary: £19,000 - £22,000Contract: Full Time, permanentCRA Legal is working with a reputable, locally renowned law firm who are looking to recruit an experienced residential property paralegal. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced conveyancing assistant to join a large and established residentialconveyancing department in a fantastic city centre location.Key Purpose of Role * To provide cost effective administrative support to the partner and other fee-earners in the team in the work of the department. * Undertake certain elements of fee-earning work under supervision but not as a designated matter handler.Key tasks include* Carry out client work as allocated by the fee-earners * To open and maintain files to expected standards * To input data in to the firms computer system as required* To receive and make telephone calls to and in relation to clients and attend upon clients as directed * To liaise by phone and letter with all persons connected to the matter * Generate suitable client care correspondence* Deal with routine client enquiries and communications * Manage the collation of matter start and matter completion data * Deputise for the fee earner in their absence, passing urgent issues to another senior fee-earner for guidance * Prepare contract packs * Request funds from lenders etc * carry out searches and submit land registry applicationsPerson specification* Knowledge of the procedures relevant to the area of work * Computer literacy * An effective communicator, both orally and in writing.. * Personally efficient and well organised. * Ability to work under own initiative with minimal supervision * Excellent client care skills.Hours of work: This is a full time roll with some homeworkingBenefitsWe have a range of benefits including a contributory pension scheme, discounted gym membership, cycle to work scheme, tech scheme, healthcare cash plan and flexible working hours.If youre interested in this vacancy, please click the apply button.
