Job Description

We put people at the heart of everything we do and are looking to recruit a friendly, spirited, outgoing individualto join the team at our fabulous new Residence Inn Manchester Piccadilly!Residence Inn by Marriott is an extended stay brand whereby our guests stay for longer periods of time. It is up to us to make them feel at home with our family of associates! Most rooms are suites with more living and working space, than you would findin any other hotel room, including a fully equipped kitchen in every suite! Our guests (the Maximizers) want to Maximize their stay and we are here to help them do that, by offering grocery services, complimentary daily breakfast and of course all the placesto be in Manchester and surrounding areas!What will I be doing

  • Process all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or mail. Identify guest reservation needs, determine appropriate room type, and verify availability of room type and rate.
  • Explain guarantee, special rate, and cancellation policies to callers.
  • Accommodate and document special requests.
  • Answer questions about property facilities/services and room accommodations.
  • Follow sales techniques to maximize revenue.
  • Manage the use of revenue systems on a daily basis. This includes having an understanding and knowledge of the yield hurdle points and daily inventory balancing where appropriate.
  • Communicate information regarding designated VIP reservations.
  • Input and access data in reservation system.
  • Respond to any challenges found for accommodating rooming requests by communicating with appropriate individual or department.
  • Oversee accuracy of room blocks and reservations.
  • Input group rooming lists using reservation systems, revise room blocks to maintain the required number of available rooms and keep organized files of all groups.
  • Set-up proper billing accounts according to accounting policies.
  • Using the tools provided and in compliance with the Marriott international standards, Marsha reservation system, updates, and shares information in the areas of a master calendar of external events, competitor rate intelligence, RevPAR penetrations (RGI),
What we are looking for:
  • A good working knowledge of Opera PMS, and MARSHA is desired.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to understand and anticipate guest needs.
  • High level of product, service and location knowledge to enhance the guest experience.
  • Demonstrate a service attitude that exceeds expectations.
  • Be familiar with Marriott Bonvoy
