Job Description

Do you have strong knowledge of compliant rent accounting and reporting within the social housing sector Interested in a largely remote role Would you like to work for an excellent organisation that makes a big impact in local communities If so, readon!Robertson Bell is pleased to once again be partnering with a Housing Association based in Maidenhead who are seeking a Rent Accountant to join their finance team on an 18-24 month fixed term contract. This newly created role will take responsibility forthe placing and maintaining of rent and work closely with the rent income collection team to identify and implement crucial process improvements in relation to rents.The main responsibilities of the Rent Accountant include:

  • Follow agreed procedures and valuations to create and maintain rent levels for the organisations entire portfolio of properties.
  • Ensure to stay up to date with all relevant compliance and legislation to guarantee that rent levels are in line with best practice and required policies.
  • Provide support to the wider service charge team with service charge estimation and reconciliation cycles.
  • Work closely with the rental income team to identify key areas of process improvements and setting up processes to drive efficiencies.
This role is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced rent professional to join a growing finance team and provide crucial guidance within the organisation. The organisation is offering excellent benefits, including flexible working with travel to theManchester office required at a maximum oncer per week.The successful candidate will have:
  • Experience with rent accounting within a housing association.
  • Intermediate excel skills (able to use VLOOKUPs and pivot tables)
  • Excellent communication skills and be a strong team player.
