Join our Centre for Health and Disability Assessments (CHDA) business as a Functional Assessor a trustedhealth provider role and work as part of a diverse team of physios, medical practitioners and healthcare professionals to help people move forward with their lives. Job Summary If youre a registered Physiotherapist, this is a unique opportunity for you to make a difference. Youll help change peoples lives for the better, without comprising your own, and the best part is you can work Monday to Friday, 9-5 for three, four, ourfive days a week once you have completed training. This needs to be done in a full time basis to ensure you have everything you need before you start delivery assessments.For the first time, were launching a new and exciting all expenses paid for training progamme which will take place in the Wigan. For those that wont have Wigan as their base location going forward, all your travel expenses will be covered. Training willbe delivered locally by two colleagues who practice in the Manchester area, which will promote consistency and provide better support for new starters.Our experienced, clinical experts will support you to be successful in the role and learn new skills to help you develop and further your career. Youll be entitled to 5 days holiday over the 12 week training period. Youll listen sensitively to their experiences, ask questions and use your insights to produce a factual report to help the Departmentfor Work and Pensions (DWP) determine their eligibility for benefits. Its important work that has a big impact on real lives, so well make sure you get the time to build a relationship with each customer you speak with.Every assessment is different, and you will also work on complex cases for customers with neurological conditions. Itll be challenging at times, and its a target-focused environment, so well support you to manage your caseloads efficiently in order to deliverthe best service.A career without compromisesOur healthcare colleagues are the driving force of our business. Youll also get the chance to become an advanced practitioner at a later stage and earn 43,860.Education and Experience RequirementsWhat we look forYoull need to be an HCPC registered physiotherapist with recent post-registration experience. If youre also proactive, keen to learn and have excellent oral and written communication skills, youll make a great addition to the team. From working with a diverserange of customers to handling challenging situations, this role is a fantastic opportunity to develop your clinical knowledge while making a difference to peoples lives. To do well, youll be comfortable working towards targets, open to give and receive feedback and have good IT knowledge. Previous experience of functional or disability assessment is a plus, but not essential well help you do your best work and complete functionalassessments to the highest standards through a formal training programme.</
