Job Description

Regional Sales Manager - Steel FramingJob Title: Regional Sales Manager - Steel FramingIndustry Sector: Through The Wall Construction, Wall Performance, External Wall, Building Envelope, Main Contractors, Architects, Dry Lining Contractors, Façade Contractors and Steel Framing ContractorsArea to be covered: North West & West Midlands - access to Manchester, Liverpool & BirminghamRemuneration: £50,000 Neg. + up to 30% BonusBenefits: Fully expensed car & Full BenefitsThe role of the Regional Sales Manager Steel Framing will involve:

  • Field sales position selling lightweight structural steel framing systems
  • Project led role
  • 50% new business development, 50% account managing existing projects
  • Managing 100’s of live projects at any one time at various stages of development from being deigned and drawn up to some systems already been delivered to construction sites
  • Selling into main contractors and sub contractors, such as dryliners, façade contractors and specialist steel framing contractors
  • Also targeting architects, and a much smaller amount reserved for design meetings
  • Managing an area currently turning over circa £2m, currently performing in line with budget expectations, although the area has achieved £3m historically so huge potential
  • Conducting up to 2 CPD’s per month
  • Maximising leads from installers plus managing key supply chain partnerships with main contractors
  • Dealing with project sizes from a few hundred metres of wall elevation up to 30,000 square metres (£10,000 up to £300,000)
    • The ideal applicant will be a Regional Sales Manager Steel Framing with:
  • Must have through the wall construction/ wall performance field sales experience
  • Ideally with contacts within dryliners/ sub contractors on patch
  • Ideally knows fire resistance/ fire testing etc.
  • Preferably from a blue chip construction manufacturer background such as insulation, cladding, plasterboard, facades, rainscreens, renders, curtain walling, steel framing, timber frame, off-site systems, windows, dry lining etc.
  • Preferably sold structural or technical products into either main contractors or sub contractors, such as dryliners, façade contractors and specialist steel framing contractors
  • Ideally understands concept of "U-Value" calculations, "acoustic value", MMC Thermal, and how they all interface
  • Strong Presentation skills
