Job Description

Role: Regional Merchandiser - Landscaping Materials - Building MaterialsSector: Builders Merchants / Building MaterialsLocation: The North (an external role involving nights away - accommodation provided)Salary: £25,000 to £32,000 dependent on experience.If you fancy an area sales role in the future then this could be the ideal stepping stone for such a posiiton. Its an interesting promotional role with a good degree of autonomy. Ultimately we are looking for a Merchandiser to work for our client, a leading independent supplier of landscaping materials who sell through the distribution channels - builders merchants and landscaping centres.

  • Are you currently a Regional Merchandiser with a company selling construction supplies or building materials
  • Are you currently within a sales role within the building materials, construction supplies sector such as a builders merchants, landscaping and other construction related sales roles
Then APPLY NOW!The right candidate will be required to visit builders merchants, landscaping centres and other stockists, contractors etc - selling the dream visually and verbally. So, this merchandiser role needs an outgoing personality and credibility. Well suitedto an existing merchandiser or someone with a customer service, sales background within the builders merchants or construction sales background. As stated, perhaps this position would suit someone who wants to take their first step towards a Regional SalesRepresentative, External Sales, Area Sales role. This position isnt targeted - whilst some sales skills are required - it is more of a promotional role providing product knowledge to both potential customers and the merchants selling your product.This role is a regional role and will require travel throughout the region and 3-4 nights away per week. Hotel accommodation will obviously be made available to you.You will be provided with a well-appointed van, with drop sides and tail, extending to 8m long with displays, TV screen, demo space etc. A quality display facility. On site you will set up the display facility and then, supported by the Regional Sales Manager,deal with Staff at the Merchants and Customers. Whilst at sites you will check the displays are stocked. Full training on the products will be given.In return the client can offer a truly leading package that will offer a strong Basic Salary including Bonus and Benefits.
