Job Description

With a national strategy put in place to grow their R&D function, this market-leading Big 4 is seeking an R&D Engineer to join their team in Manchester. Im eager to speak with Electronic, Physicist and IT/Software Engineers, with previous experience in an Accountancy Practices environment is desirable but not essential.As a team, you will work with a mixture of clients across a wide span of industry sectors, including large multi-national companies, SMEs and start-up firms. Industry sectors include oil & gas, telecoms, manufacturing, technology, pharmaceuticals, and construction.A typical day would involve:

  • Client calls or meetings to determine if they are eligible for R&D tax claims
  • Technical write ups - why are they eligible
  • Analysing data from clients and understanding what projects clients have in the pipeline
  • Project management and risk analysis
