Job Description

Quantity Surveyor - Roofing Job Title: Quantity Surveyor - RoofingIndustry Sector: Quantity Surveyor, Surveying, Waterproofing, Liquid Applied Waterproofing, Waterproofing Membranes, Liquid Applied, Flat Roofing Systems, Hot Melt, Single Ply, Sheeting, Cladding, Specifiers, Specialist Roofing Contractor, Refurbishment,New Build, Flat Roofing, RoofingLocation: North WestRemuneration: £35,000 - £45,000Benefits: Car allowance & full benefits package The role of the Quantity Surveyor - Roofing will involve:

  • Quantity Surveyor position managing the commercial aspects of various commercial roofing projects such as felt roofing, liquid roofing and pitched roofing
  • Manage procurement and project cost control for employed site applicators and sub-contractors
  • Manage month end applications, invoicing & valuations within agreed timescales
  • Identify variations occurrences including cost application approval
  • Manage client contractual requirements within contract documents
  • Produce P&L reports for all projects including forecasting and cash flow
  • Manage sub-contractor supplier list
  • Attending site for internal/external meetings including site measures
  • Working on projects ranging in value from £1k to circa £1m
The ideal applicant will be a Quantity Surveyor - Roofing with:
  • Must have Quantity Surveying experience within the construction industry
  • Ideally familiar with various roofing projects, pitched roofing, flat roofing, liquid applied, hot melt, flat and pitched roofing, composite panel sheeting and cladding, oversheeting, roofing conversions, felt roofing, safe access systems, single ply, gutterrefurbishment
  • Quantity Surveying degree or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • IT literate (Microsoft Office)
  • High levels of attention to detail
  • Familiar with commercial law and construction law
  • Ability to multi-task and work accurately under pressure
  • Full UK driving license
