Job Description

Your new roleHere at Highways England, we currently have an opportunity for a Quality & Performance Analyst to join our team in either Manchester, Warrington or Penrith. The successful candidate will be supporting supplier quality, performance management and measurement across the North-West Region.Within this role, you will be developing regional performance reporting and supporting with the implementation and embedment of performance management and measurement. You will also be supporting the Senior Quality & Performance Analyst in conducting audits and with assurance activity in the region.What you’ll be leading on

  • Work collaboratively with regional and national Operations teams (e.g. National Operations Portfolio & Performance team) to implement performance reporting requirements, KPIs, and metrics that allow better understanding and visibility of the Region’s suppliers performance against their targets.
  • Deliver the allocated work to deliver the audit programme (Contract Assurance Regime and Service Quality Audits) for the region’s contracts. Facilitate external audits; carry out data and trend analysis on audit findings and nonconformities.
  • Support the implementation of Quality Management for the region’s contracts and use performance and trend analysis to identify improvements in quality performance.
  • • Assist in the development and maintenance of Quality Management documentation (both Highways England and Supply Chain) and champion a culture of continuous improvement across the region by ensuring that performance feedback and lessons learned are captured, owned, tracked and monitored through to delivery
  • Obtain, review, collate and submit external performance data on suppliers
  • Liaise with Area subject matter experts to review queries, validate scores and undertake scoring meetings with the Suppliers
  • Assist the Suppliers on Improvement Plans to improve their scores and minimize nonconformities
  • Provide support to other members of the Quality and Performance Team and maintain resilience.
  • Assist with the development, collation and reporting on internal performance measures to provide the data to enable improvement opportunities and efficiencies.
  • Assist the region in ensuring that its supplier are providing a good quality service to comply with ISO 9001.
  • To be successful
  • Excellent understanding of ISO Quality Management Systems and quality measurement requirements and methods,
  • Good analytical skills. Previous experience in collating and analysing both quantative and qualitative performance data.
  • Experience of undertaking audits of processes and procedures. (ISO auditor qualification would be advantageous).
  • Experience of working on complex service based contracts (Highways construction and maintenance desirable)
  • Demonstrable Stakeholder management including experience of maintaining collaborative commercial relationships with the supply chain, and driving continual improvement and best practice
