Job Description

The Company Overview:Butler rose are partnered with a well-established property development company based in Greater South Manchester. The successful post-holder will be responsible for operating the purchase ledger and subcontract ledger financial functions with support fromthe commercial and procurement team. This is a brilliant opportunity to join a newly created team undergoing great growth periods. My client is keen in supporting the training and development of their employees through their development programmes.My client now has an immediate requirement for a Part Time Purchase Ledger clerk and as a result, you will need to be either immediately available or available at short notice. This is a permanent, office based position working on a 20 -25 hour week withsome flexibility on start and finish times.Working hours: 8:30am until 2:30pm. (Flexible)Your new role as a Part Time Purchase Ledger Clerk:Your duties will include:Timely and accurate processing and reviewing of Subcontractor and Purchase ledger invoices, creating bacs runsEnsures regular supplier statement reconciliations are completed.Ensure accurate accounting for VAT, subcontractor tax & payments as appropriate.Ensure that purchase orders, invoices and payments processing adhere to the respective control framework & approval protocols in placeTrack subcontractor and supplier queries & complaints and drive resolution via the appropriate escalation routes within the relevant business functions (i.e. procurement, commercial, finance, etc.)Assist with the management of internal & external subcontractor / supplier relationships.Perform ongoing housekeeping activities to maintain clean ledgers.Ensure that all invoices are tax compliant according to guidelines.Ensure timely processing of all activities to support the monthly/quarterly/annual close periods.Assist with internal and external audits to ensure complete, timely, and accurate responses to information requests.Actively support the sharing of new ideas and best practice across all areas.Support any other reasonable requests on ad hoc projects or tasks as agreed.The Experience & Qualifications Required:The successful Candidate shall be/have:Experience of performing Purchase ledger or Account Payable dutiesGood Excel understandingMeticulousCOINS experience would be beneficial.Previous experience working in property or house building would be an advantageNumerically accurate and confident in written and verbal communications with suppliers and subcontractors.Ability to analyse and interpret financial informationAbility to communicate at all levels with both financial and non-financial managementYour Reward & The Package On Offer:As a Part Time Purchase Ledger Clerk, you shall receive:A pro rata salary of up to £25,000 depending on experience26 days holidayPensionLife AssuranceBonus SchemeFree parkingInterested Apply or get in touch on (M): or (T): to speak to Sonia Sidje to discuss the role further!Who Are Butler RoseButler Rose specialises in the recruitment of accountancy and finance professionals, from transactional and part-qualified appointments through to Group FDs.With offices in Manchester, Preston, Leeds, Birmingham, Exeter, London, Milton Keynes and Southampton, we work with a range of businesses across the UK from SMEs and local accountancy firms to large Plcs and the Big 4, as well as many public sector and not-for-profitorganisations.
