Job Description

Axon Moore are partnering with a well-established business in Openshaw, Manchester, who are looking to appoint an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk into the accounts team. The company has sites in multiple locations with the PL Team based in Manchester. Due to growth, the company are looking to add resource to the Purchase Ledger team. This role supports the Purchase Ledger Manager and will be responsible for maintaining a clean and up to date creditors ledger. SalaryUp to £30,000 per annum, holiday scheme with the option to buy, pension, parking, death in service benefit and breakfast items are provided for free.Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining a clean purchase ledger
  • Processing a high volume of supplier invoices
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements to the ledger supplier invoices with a high level of accuracy
  • Resolve supplier queries and invoicing errors in a timely manner
  • Agree payment terms are adhered to
  • Ensure all payment details are correct and up to date
  • Other ad-hoc accounting duties as required
Experience and skills:
  • Experience in a Purchase Ledger role
  • Experience with Microsoft GP would be an advantage
  • An AAT qualification would be an advantage
  • A strong work ethic - proactive in your work, showing initiative
  • Team player, positive attitude and happy to help the wider team where needed
  • Good attention to detail and able to work to a fast pace where necessary
