Job Description

Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer or FitterHave you worked with pumps, valves, blowers, motors, mechanical seals, gears, or other rotating equipmentDo you enjoy solving engineering queriesWe have an opportunity for a technical, enthusiastic, and energetic Pump and Rotating Equipment Fitter (Mechanical Engineer) to join our team, where no two days are the same.This role offers opportunity to work within a team of highly experienced Pump and Rotating Equipment Fitters in our innovative workshop building a variety of equipment in a fast-paced environment.The right candidate may also have the opportunity to work on customer sites to remove, re-install, and commission equipment.Further training is available such as CCNSG, confined space training, and OEM training on components. Progression opportunities within Pump Supply and Repair Group are also available.Pump and Rotating Equipment Fitter Job Role

  • Full scope of engineered pump overhaul, including assembly, service, testing, and stripping a wide variety of pumps and associated spares.
  • In-house work but occasional site work (knowledge of controls and fault-finding advantageous).
  • Flexible working hours may be required at times.
  • Compiling required assembly documentation.
  • Working as part of a busy fitting and dis-assembly team.
This Pump and Rotating Equipment Fitter role would suit candidates with experience in the following areas: pump, Pump Engineer, Pump Fitter, Mechanical Engineer, Vacuum Pump Engineer. Benefits
  • Remuneration range: £26.5k - £31k plus overtime depending on experience and qualifications
  • Overtime paid at time and half and double rate

Essential Skills
  • Successful candidate must be time-served fitter / engineer (C.G.L.I Part 3 / O.N.C.).
  • Must have a good knowledge of tolerances and working to high standards.
  • Ability to produce clean driving licence essential.
Desirable Skills
  • Ideally, knowledge of pumps and rotating equipment in industrial, chemical, power generation, Petro-chemical, and water industries.
  • Need a can-do approach - flexible working will be required.
  • Organised - be able to work to agreed time scales.
  • Clean and presentable appearance.
  • This can be a physically demanding position with some lifting involved, mainly using mechanical lifting equipment.
