Job Description

I am recruiting for a Surveyor to join a leading Housing Association in Manchester. This role is going to be on the Responsive Repairs and involve actively resolving customers issues.Client DetailsI am working on behalf of a housing association in South Manchester who look after 14,000 properties.Description

  • Knowledge of the Social Housing Sector and awareness of its regulations
  • Experience and demonstration of understanding the surveying duties and roles within domestic building maintenance
  • A demonstrable knowledge of building construction, building standards, planning regulations, regulatory standards, health & safety and other legislation relevant to asset management
  • Knowledge of building maintenance including relevant experience in the inspection of domestic property and the remedy of maintenance problems
  • Knowledge and experience of the delivery for all Aids to Adaptation requirements, in liaison with Local Authorities
  • Knowledge and understanding of Disabled Facility Grant (DFG) works and how they integrate with our service
  • Knowledge and understanding of Aids to adaptation legislation
  • To be conversant with current legislation and statutory requirements relating to building and inspection works;
Profile
  • Sound knowledge of building construction maintenance
  • HNC (Building Construction) or equivalent
  • Diploma in Surveying, Property and Maintenance Level 3
  • Membership of a relevant professional body e.g. RICS or CIOB
