Job Description

Property Maintenance operativeLocation - ManchesterSalary £24,000Are you a detail-oriented individual with a passion for property maintenance Are you skilled at keeping buildings and facilities in excellent condition If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!Cambian is seeking a dedicated and experienced Property Maintenance operative to join our team. As a key member of our property management department, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and upkeep of our properties.Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections of properties to identify maintenance needs, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as painting, carpentry work, and landscaping.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from tenants or property management.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues to determine the best course of action for repairs.
  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and services.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and repairs completed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment needed for maintenance tasks.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to tenants and address their maintenance concerns promptly.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in property maintenance or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of general maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects when required.
  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
  • Relevant certifications or licenses are a plus.
