Conveyancing Direct are part of the Connells Group which is one of the largest and most successful estate agency and property services providers in the UK.We are looking to recruit Case Handlers to join our team in our Manchester office.This would suit a person with a background of working in a Remortgage/Conveyancing or similar environment or with experience in running their own case load.About the RoleYou will be responsible for managing a caseload on a day to day basis which includes all aspects of the conveyancing transaction from instruction to completion, registration and closure of the file.Daily tasks will include - taking instructions and completing tasks set by the Conveyancer. Drafting legal documents including Standard Precedent Letters, Contract Packs, Exchange letters, Freehold AP1s and freeform letters.You will carry out Post Completion work including preparing and sending applications to the Land Registry, Stamp Duty Land Tax submissions, file closures and checking account ledgers.You will be required to deal professionally with other lawyers, estate agents and third parties associated with the transactions and be accountable for your own files, the advice/guidance given, and other legal aspects on property transactions which youare working on.You will be required carry file housekeeping including checking to see if files are live, ensure compliance and if files can be archived.You will need to carry out Pre-completion, Land Registry and Conveyancing searches accurately and timely.Ensure the file is ready for exchange and completion ensuring all the correct and necessary paperwork and funds are in place.About YouWe are looking for an excellent communicator, good time management, organisational and problem-solving skills who is confident and able to work alone or as part of a team.Knowledge of Case Management Systems and Microsoft Office especially Word, Excel and Outlook is essential.BenefitsSome of the benefits staff at Conveyancing Direct can enjoy are: their birthday day off (if it falls on a work day) in addition to 28 days holiday; Death in Service; Dress for Your Day; charity and company social events.If your skills and experience fit the description above, and you would like to work in a challenging role within a progressive company, we would love to hear from you.Benefits:
