Project Manager - Electrical BiasLocation: Manchester, CheshireSalary: Competitive, + Car allowance & BenefitsContract: Full-Time, PermanentHours: 8am-5pm Monday to Thursday, 8am-4pm on Fridays (1-hour lunch each day)Project Manager - About the roleLivingston Building Services are a leading provider of M&E Services, providing our clients with innovative M&E engineering solutions. Compliance with all aspects of both Health & Safety Legislation and internal H&S Management System will be crucial.Successful candidates will be skilled in delivering project programme and phasing presentations to clients, managing client, sub-contractor, and team meetings effectively whilst managing their time and delegating effectively.Project Manager - Responsibilities:

  • Health and Safety - ensure all projects are delivered to the highest safety standards in accordance with company standards and applicable legislation.
  • Be accountable for the profit and loss performance of the Programme ensuring financial, commercial and operational reporting processes are followed and to provide accurate information and undertaking effective management of change control.
  • Ensuring account growth including the development of other business strands and service lines within Morris and Spottiswood.
  • Be accountable for the confirmation and implementation of all contractual and commercial arrangements with customers.
  • Be responsible for the planning, selection, monitoring and development of all colleagues under your line management responsibility.
  • Be accountable for the selection, planning and development of all suppliers under your management responsibility
  • Be responsible for the leadership and motivation of all stakeholders associated within the Programme, including colleagues, suppliers, and Customer team.
  • Develop and maintain an effective Customer relationship management strategy.
  • Ensure the effective implementation of the companies Quality Management Systems.
  • Always act as an ambassador for Morris and Spottiswood and possess strong personal qualities of professionalism and integrity in accord with the Companys visions and values.
  • The ability to programme works at both pre- and post-contract stages - is crucial; therefore, Asta Power Project, MS Project or equivalent programming skills is essential.
Project Manager - The Candidate:The ideal candidate will have a trade background with broad building services experience in M&E delivery. The ability to plan and monitor project delivery along with impeccable people management skills is essential.Leadership, strong interpersonal credibility, and the ability to interact with and be mindful of clients needs, both internal and external varieties, all figure highly in the profile for this role. The role will assume overall responsibility for the managementof several contracts, therefore, it is critical that the successful candidates can demonstrate significant experience in managing multiple projects at any one time.You should have strong commercial awareness to take responsibility for managing contracts finances and budgets as well as the procurement and management of sub-contractors and materials.Candidates are also likely to have 3-5 years experience in a building services project management role, with evidence of solid career progression. It is desirable that candidates have experience in running large contracts with values ranging from £250k- £5m.The ability to programme works - at tender stage or outset of project- is crucial; therefore, Asta Power Project programming skills is essential.
  • Hold a valid driving licence
  • Be willing to travel and be based on site as and when the job requires.
  • Be fully IT literate in word and excel (at advanced level)
  • Hold previous line management experience (able to demonstrate all aspects of senior management experience)
  • Hold relevant Building Services qualifications (desirable)
  • Hold a valid CSCS card and have relevant H&S qualifications for the position (SMSTS, First Aid, Asbestos Awareness, Fire Warden, Scaffolding Inspection)
