* Handling all forms of movements including OOG (Out Of Gauge) and Breakbulk Cargo* Price, quote, negotiate and organise freight movements* Complete shipping documentation, such as bills of lading, packing lists etc.Project Freight Forwarder (Export)Manchester Airport£28k - £32k + BonusMy client is an extremely well-established freight and logistics provider operating globally across land, air and sea freight movements and due to worldwide expansion, we are delighted to support in their search for an experienced Project Freight Forwarder(Export) to join their successful team at their site near Manchester Airport.You will be responsible to manage the day-to-day aspects of international projects for freight movements via all means of transport across land, sea and air where you will be dealing with clients directly, customs, shipping firms and overall ensuring a seamlessoperation within this busy environment ensuring all customer expectations delivered.Hours: Monday-Friday 09:00-17:00Key Responsibilities: * Price, quote, negotiate and organise freight movements with a vast contact base of sub-contractors.* Knowledge and experience of CHIEF & Customs Entries.* Handling all forms of movements including OOG (Out Of Gauge) and Breakbulk Cargo.* Ensure solid cost control through the arrangement of transport solutions at the low rate, without compromising upon quality.* Ensure deliveries are scheduled on time and in line with customer expectations.* Monitor delivery performance and notify customers with any delays* Complete and respond to all customer queries surrounding transport solutions.* Select shipment routes, based on nature of goods, transit times, or security needs.* Complete shipping documentation, such as bills of lading, packing lists, dock receipts, certificates of origin and customs clearance (via agents).* Preparing and providing documents to customers in accordance with the terms of shipment standard operating procedures* Consolidate loads with a common destination to reduce costs to individual shippers.* Maintain current knowledge of relevant legislation, political situations, or other factors that could affect freight shipping.* Obtaining, checking and preparing documentation to meet customs and insurance. requirements, packing specifications, and compliance with other countries regulations.Key Skills: * Experience of UK Export Freight Forwarding for a minimum of 3 years* Knowledge and experience with Destin8 and CNS systems* Strong communication skills with an ability to speak at all levels* Excellent knowledge of freight and customs operations* Understanding of hauliers and trade lanes* Organisation and prioritisation skillsThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a global and continually growing business with opportunities to develop yourself and grow and to join an excellent office environment with a great team spirit.
