Job Description

Project Engineers - Control & Protection

  • Location: Manchester
  • Rates: £400 - £500 per day
  • Start asap: Minimum 6-month contract
  • SCADA/Protection Equipment, Automation Software
Turner Lovell is currently recruiting for Project Engineers to lead the protection and control activities for a HVDC and HV substation infrastructure projects in the UK. In these roles, we are looking for a protection equipment expert and a SCADA, software and communicating protocols expert. In these roles, you will coordinate experts during the design, engineering, planning, installation, and commissioning phases of high-profileprojects. The roles are based in the Northwest of England with occasion travel to suppliers, customers, and project sites.Duties:
  • Lead the delivery of Control & Projection project scopes to budget, safety, quality, performance, and programme requirements.
  • Coordinate between all Control & Protection design, test, and manufacture functions to produce a robust and reliable electrical design and engineering package,
  • Deliver associated engineering drawings, control and protection cubicles, and manage site installation, cabling and commissioning works.
Profile:
  • Degree in electrical engineering, electrical power engineering
  • At least 3 years professional experience HV substation sector in a project management role
  • Technically knowledgeable in the areas of high voltage Protection and SCADA systems
  • Knowledge of Auxiliary Substation plant technology is highly beneficial
