Job Description

Project Assistant VacancyReed are currently working with a Wigan and Leigh based client who are recruiting for temporary Project Assistants to join their team. Our client is a supported housing provider in the borough and works alongside GPs, mental health, nurses and substance/alcoholspecialists to support people who are experiencing homelessness.Location: WiganPay rate: £10.25 per hour PAYEHours: Full time hours, rota basedShifts: Earlies and Lates between the hours of 07:3022:00Start Date: April 2022End Date: September 2022 initiallyContract Duration: 6 months initially with potential for extension and temporary to permanent opportunities for the right Project AssistantPurpose of role.

  • To assist in the provision of a housing and support service for vulnerable clients.
  • Support and enable residents to achieve their aspirations
  • Act as an initial point of reference on the phone, or in a reception area as required
  • Assist in the provision of a comprehensive housing management and support service.
  • Assisting clients with day-to-day support and tenancy issues
  • Have an awareness of the clients support needs, working, under direction, supporting clients to help them achieve their agreed outcomes.
Skills & Knowledge required
  • At times this role can be challenging but most of the time it can be incredibly rewarding. You will need to be resilient and empathetic
  • Passionate about delivering support and a person-centred approach to residents
  • Experience of working with people in a customer facing environment
  • An understanding of supporting vulnerable peoplethis could include having your own lived experience of homelessness or drug or alcohol addiction
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to build good working relationships
  • Demonstrate IT skills
  • DBS update service is desirable
