Job Description

I have a brilliant opportunityfor a Production Team Leader to join a Great team at Trafford Park.Core responsibilities for this role will include:

  • Co-ordination of activities with regards to the assembly of all parts made in the factory and ensure any developments / changes to plan are communicated between ALL departments and all orders are complete in full and right first time.
  • Presentation of the work environment; set the standard required with regards to cleanliness expected for the areas and maintain it on a daily basis; such things as tools away at the end of day, materials away when finished with, and equipment cleaned downwhen finished with.
  • Supervision of your team; You are responsible for the attendance / discipline issues generated by your team. To start with you are responsible for the basics such as discipline of poor performers / discipline of repeated poor attendance within your department.You will be responsible for holding return to work interviews and disciplinary meetings. Along with being responsible for ensuring both the factory manager and the assistant manager are kept informed of any issues that you are dealing with.
  • Development of new work practices; You are responsible for the development of new working practices, inclusive of developing / writing and getting signed off agreement of all new working practice S.O.Ps (Standard Operating Procedures). You will be responsiblefor ensuring all employees in your department receive the training identified in these new procedures
  • You are directly responsible for the order and discipline of your team and for controlling the levels of absence / lateness, ensuring that these levels are managed as a hole.
  • Attend the daily production meeting and report any issues that will effect agreed delivery dates for each order such as breakdowns, material shortages etc, even if you have no issues you must attend as there may be changes in the schedule that could effectyour department.
The successful candidate must have a good level of workplace experience.The successful candidate will work 39 hours per week - with an early finish on a Friday!Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:
