Job Description

Product Safety Engineer Manchester-based office with 2-3 days in the office monthly.Are you a product-focused Safety Engineer looking for a new position in the world of Rail Keen to work alongside some of the top experts in the fieldFord and Stanley the Rail recruitment specialists are working with an established, highly technical rail focused company working on critical infrastructure to assist them in finding an ambitious and focused Product Safety Engineer to join their team in Manchester.The Opportunity:The successful candidate will join a highly specialised engineering team, working alongside industry experts and leaders with a range of experience across engineering disciplines.You will progress quickly through the business from Safety Engineer to Safety Manager, ultimately to Safety Director of the company over the next few years and as such, drive and ambition are a must for this role.Role and Responsibilities:

  • Define and own product safety elements of the company Business Management system
  • Take ownership and responsibility for Product Safety elements of specific company product developments.
  • Ensure all activities undertaken are fully compliant with the quality management system and in accordance with Company / legislative and Health and Safety requirements
  • Working on safety-critical projects and managing stakeholders around Rail industry-specific standards.
The Candidate Essentials:
  • Degree in an Engineering discipline (electronics or electrical bias)
  • Experience in safety engineering, safety assessments and safety management within safety-critical environments
  • Experience in working with railway signalling
  • Strong organisational skills and a strong desire for progression in your career!
