Job Description

Here at N Brown, we are looking for aProduct and Compliance Technologistto join our team! This role is for someone looking to start their career in this field and develop and grow within our team, you maybe a recent Graduate or have the relevant workexperience to start your career journey.In this role with N Brown you will develop your skills to provide product quality, compliance and legislation expertise by supporting the technologists. In doing this you will manage global quality, legislation and conformity of our items through collectingand reviewing testing and performance documentation. You will constantly look to review and improve standards in line with customer expectation, competitors, and Global legislation to ensure that our items exceed our customer expectations for Quality, Valueand performance, right first time and on time. You will also look to reduce returns and improve customer feedback through reviews and customer testing panels.In your role as Product and Compliance Technologist at N Brown you will pro-actively follow a Coordinated 2-year Training and Development Plan, successfully completing individual assessments throughout this period driving forward your own development and expandingyour knowledge.Supported by your Mentor

  • Support in the delivery of the Strategy and business seasonal requirements, generating and maintaining records and data ensuring the standards are consistently aligned to the global law and our strategic and brand objectives
  • Research, analyse and translate Global legislation requirements ensuring N Brown are up to date with any changes to laws etc.
  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, internally and externally to promote the adoption and implementation of standards for consistency of product quality, legislation and compliance and commercial / brand requirements to deliver excellence
  • Evaluate supplier for skill, abilities, lead times and quality of items achieved preparing reports and escalating issues for action and recommending improvements
  • Evaluate Supplier Performance for skill, abilities, lead times and quality and preparing performance reports
  • Maintaining all quality, legislation and criteria, evaluating and reporting on supplier performance, ensuring 100% conformity through close monitoring and communication
  • Maintain testing, and AQL standards and performance through supply base, reducing unplanned refurb and RTMs
  • Investigate causes of quality problems and implement improvements to processes that lead to overall increases in item quality resulting in reduction in returns, improved customer feedback, through reviews and increase item score through customers testingpanels
  • Engage with wider PI team to determine supplier capabilities relative to item type, quality and standards required, ensuring a right first time, on time approach
What experience are we looking for in a Product and Compliance Technologist
  • Proven industry internship in technical specific field
  • Technical expertise in relevant products including, testing and compliance legislation and chemical management
  • Understanding of a wide-ranging supply base
  • Use analytical and product insight to influence corrective actions with strong focus on
  • continuous improvements
  • Communication skillsverbal and writtenability to communicate via variety of media with different cultures / various levels of stakeholders
  • A good appreciation of quality and compliance standards
  • IT skillscompetent in word, excel and power point
  • Highly organised
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude
  • Excellent time management
