Job Description

Principal Consultant - Health, Safety and Fire - North UKTo apply for this position please ensure you have the following essential experience:Extensive experience undertaking high rise residential risk assessments across a range of built environments and developments, including housing developments, ideally with multi-site/client/product exposure.Relevant qualifications at diploma level in Occupational Health and Safety practice.Member of relevant professional body at full member level (CMIOSH, FIIRSM or equivalent)Member of IFSM tier 3, and or MIFE tire 3 or Grad IFE tier 3Ability to manage multiple deadlines and business priorities within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.Strong relationships management experience, paired with the ability to support stakeholders with complex, contentious and critical matters.Ability to coach, develop and lead a team of technical experts.Strong work ethic, creative problem solving and interpersonal skills, research and report writing abilities and good knowledge of the regulationsThe ClientMy Client is an international market leader providing an innovative suite of; Professional Service Solutions, Outsourcing and other services to mid/major organisations, both within the UK, and globally.Purpose of the positionAs the Principal Consultant, you will be responsible for working with a diverse range of clients, providing safety specialist consulting in the built environment. As part of the Professional Services Management Team and Team of Principals, you will provide leadership and team support to a small team of consultants, ensuring they are aligned with the company vision and consistently deliver against SLAs, ensuring clients are provided with a comprehensive and forensic outcome, in a timely manner.Responsibilities of the position:TechnicalOnboard new consultants, and career management developing technical and soft skills to improve or develop.Create safety strategies and solutions for clients within the built environment and development (offices, shopping centres, retail, business park offices, high rise, residential, and property development environment)Deliver market leading health and safety advice as well as pragmatic and innovative solutions to clients.Provide assistance in quality assurance management (QA) across the Professional Services team to ensure optimal and accurate results.Undertake complex risk assessments across fire, health & safety, and other assessments relating to the built environment e.g. work at height COSHH, RAMS, etc.Commercial;Support commercial and operational functions in delivery of fee earning targets and SLAs (quality/ timely output of work assignments) as set by the Senior Director.Look for opportunities for strengthening and scaling the team executing on the Professional services strategy with agility and professionalism.Leadership & Learning:Provide day to day line management to a team of specialists, partnering with the Senior Leadership and HR to deliver across all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, coaching and development, performance management and engagement.Attract, retain and develop a high-performing team.Lead, manage and hold direct reports accountable for achieving agreed-upon commitments.Provide support and mentorship to guide employees to reach their full potentialSupport senior leadership in developing and role modelling behavioursCultivate and manage collaborative relationships with the Professional Services Management Team to drive success and alignment across the Professional Services division.Consistently demonstrates a passion for values alignment, focus, simplicity, and clarity across the teamCreate accountability and performance culture within the team by implementing appropriate metrics and performance expectations for each functionConsistently demonstrates a passion for the companies core values.New Line SR Ltd - Matt KrajnikSpecialist RecruiterIf this opportunity sounds like the role for you then please apply immediately.New Line SR is a nationwide specialist in recruitment of many different positions, both field based and office based across the UK, Ireland (and beyond on assignment) since 2005.
