Job Title: Pre Planned Maintenance OperativeLocation/Trust: North Manchester General HospitalDepartment: Estates & Facilities NorthBand/Pay rate: £10.81 per hour Band 3Hours: 37.5 hours Monday - Friday 08:00 - 4pmPlacement Ref: 44585The RoleWould you like to be part of a team that works well together, always there to help each other Would you like to work in a Trust that recently had good in their CQC report This location is easily accessible by public transport and has onsite parking.If you answered yes, Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust would love to hear from you.We have a temporary placement opportunity available for a PPM Operative at North Manchester General Hospital.Band 3 Pre Planned Maintenance Operative is required for/not restricted to the relevant tasks:Completing PPMs (Pre Planned Maintenance) as directed / instructed by the RP/DRP/ supervisor this will include:* Completing flushing of little used outlets under the estates control across the full site as outlined by the RP/DRP/ supervisor request using the database/ CAFM system.* Completing water sampling as instructed by prepopulated lists set out by RP/DRP/ Supervisor request using an electronic device/ CAFM system.* Surveying cold water storage tanks visually and completing a short assessment as outlined by the RP/DRP/ Supervisor using the database/ CAFM via an electronic device/ CAFM system.* Carrying out temperature monitoring tasks from various water systems across site which will include domestic hot water systems, cold water storage tanks under instruction by the RP/DRP/supervisor.* Changing/cleaning shower heads and hoses/spray taps as and when required and instructed by the RP/DRP/supervisor.* Carrying out Thermal Shut off testing on TMV/TMT as outlined by the RP/DRP/ Supervisor Request using the database/ CAFM system.* Visual inspections/cleaning of sight glasses on AHUs.* Changing AHU filters as and when required/ outlined by the RP/DRP/ Supervisor* Cleaning of air intake filters as and when required/ outlined by the RP/DRP/ Supervisor.* General ppm duties such as cleaning workshop areas/plant rooms as and when required/ outlined by the RP/DRP/ Supervisor etc.This job will involve elements of walking, climbing ladders, manual handling, lone working as well as working as part of a team, the use of and reading temperature gauges, use of hand tools, use of chemicals under COSHH, following instructions, ability to planand manage work own work loads.Basic IT knowledge and use of smart phones/ tablet devicesPrevious experience of a similar background is desirable but not essential as training will be provided for the successful candidate for all tasks and the use of the CAFM system.*RP - Responsible Person*DRP - Deputy Responsible Person*CAFM - Computer Aided Facilities Management*TMV - Thermostatic Mixer Valve*TMT - Thermostatic Mixer TapPrevious Experience in a similar Role - DesirableGood IT Knowledge - DesirableAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to prioritise workload.In return for your hard work commitment NHS Professionals (NHSP) can offer you some fantastic benefits: -
