Job Description

My client is an award-winning communications agency specialising in delivering engaging and impactful campaigns for purpose-driven organisations.They are an award-winning communications agency specialising in delivering engaging and impactful campaigns for purpose-driven organisations.Their clients include charities, NGOs, and commercial companies looking to do business in a way that means better outcomes for all.They empower clients by putting purpose at the heart of their organisation and spreading their message in a bold and attention-worthy way.The ideal candidate will be an experienced Account Director with a strong knowledge of leading PR campaigns, who understands a clients objectives and is passionate about delivering them.You will be able to plan ahead, deliver to clear KPIs and identify additional services that they can provide to their clients.In addition to their client work, they deliver in-house campaigns on female empowerment and the environment, as well as their own thought-provoking podcast and are in the middle of writing a book on the circular economy.They are now looking to hire an established PR Account Director to oversee the work of teams across a varied portfolio and ensure exemplary programme delivery for their clients.

  • You will be able to guide clients effectively through the complexities of a campaign and lead the way forward to achieving results
  • You will have the confidence to manage several account teams and lead delivery of the clients objectives
  • You will be able to identify problems their clients have and be able to propose new services to clients already happy with the service they provide to them in another area
  • You will be able to create compelling new business proposals in PowerPoint
  • You will have the skill to develop strong relationships with clients, both existing and new
  • You will understand and gain enjoyment from knowing that the work you personally do is helping to make the world a better place

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Managing account teams and leading delivery on multiple client accounts
  • Seeking out new business and ensuring that media coverage leads to business wins
  • Reporting progress against plan via weekly updates and calls, monthly updates and quarterly reports and reviews
  • Managing and developing client relationships
  • Developing campaign strategy and overseeing its delivery
  • Media engagement
  • Account growth
  • Identifying new business opportunities and drafting proposals
  • Providing support for the development of colleagues and acting as a sounding-board in the development of strategy ideas
The successful candidate will have:
  • Previous experience as an Account Director
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent client handling skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft software
  • A proactive work ethic and desire to learn and develop on the job
