Job Description

An energetic and enthusiastic PR Account Manager is required by a growing and leading agency based in Manchester.You will be an intrinsic part of the teamthe engine room, the press coverage driver, the organiser, team manager, the client relationship builder, the thinker on the feet, and finger on the pulse-r. You thrive on achieving results, know the impact thoseresults have on your clients businesses and are a key player in shaping your clients reputation and profile.An annual salary of up to £36,000 plus benefits is available depending on experience.ClientAn exciting, growing agency with a talented and creative team.What you will be doing:

  • Client Servicesmanage a portfolio of clients across different experience levels, provide strategic counsel, build relationships and rapport, ensuring activity is being delivered as per the agreed scope fo work, maintaining high standards of output, communicationand reporting
  • Media Relationsdriving coverage outcomes, comfortable pitching to anyone from local journos to national news desk, guide junior team members on correct ways to approach media, finding ways to build relationships and positive networks with all types ofmedia, keeping attention on the changing news agenda to inform client communication plans
  • Copywritingstrong and creative copywriter, can execute press copy quickly and efficiently, able to adapt writing style to different media types and audiences,appreciates the importance of the headline and opening paragraphs
  • Creative Thinkinghow to deliver PR comms tactically against the strategy and/or creative proposition, coming up with tactics that will generate cutthrough, what tactics arent widely used but could resonate with client audiences, PR ideas that can sellother parts of the business (content production, social etc)
  • Integratingbelieve in and understand the power of an integrated approach to communications and how that can deliver better output and outcomes for clients, while having a good foundation knowledge of key channels such as social media, digital media,strategy and creative
  • Analysingbe able to analyse PR activity effectively in order to prove short-term and long-term achievement of the marketing objectives
  • Organisationability/desire to keep back end folders in good shape and order to ensure the efficient cross-team usage and access of media materials, assets, management and background documentation
  • Team Managementmanaging and mentoring junior team members in order to develop them into effective and efficient operators
  • Presentingconfidently and articulately present ideas/reports/insights to clients and internal stakeholders
  • New Businesssupport the PR Director with new business proposal development and pitching
What you will need;
  • Minimum 3 years agency or in-house experience
  • B2C and B2B experienced preferred but not a deal breaker
  • Knowledge and proficient use of media databases and press clippings services (e.g. Gorkana, Roxhill, Kantar)
  • Experience of working with influencer networks and campaigns would be ideal
