Job Description

My client is a UHNW wealth and investment firm and they are currently looking for an experienced and qualified Portfolio Manager/Investment Analyst to join their firm in Manchester.Activities and tasks:

  • Research into asset allocation and fund selection
  • Manage portfolios in line with agreed mandates
  • Implement portfolio changes as agreed by the investment team
  • Performance monitoring and reporting
  • Support CIO in building a multi-asset class fund management solution
  • Support client Partners with presentations
    • Relationships:
  • Internal

  • Board members

  • Custodians
  • Fund Managers
  • Clients
    • Person specification:
  • Able to demonstrate excellent and creative analytical abilities
  • Post-graduation work experience within a buy side asset management position preferred
  • Confident, self-assured, articulate, able to work under pressure and excellent inter personal skills
  • Able to work on own initiative, consistency of approach, efficient, able to exercise sound judgement
  • Adaptable/flexible to meet the demands of the job, often at short notice
  • Familiar with financial packages (Bloomberg, FE Analytics), or have demonstrated the capability to learn quickly
  • Competent with Excel
  • Level 4 qualified
