Learn new skills and take the next step in your career!We are recruiting for a PMLD Teaching Assistantat a secondary special needs school in North Manchester for young people aged 11-19 with Autism, Complex Needs, Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties, PMLD, and Severe Learning Disabilities,SLD.Starting in ASAP on a full time & long term, temp to perm basis.Excellent pay up to £85/day, paid PAYE direct by Tradewind.

• PMLD Teaching Assistant at a special needs high school in North Manchester.
• Starting in ASAP on a full time basis.
• Monday to Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm.
• Pay up to £85/day.

• You will need to support young people with care as well as education.
• You will be working in groups of no more than 8 pupils at a time.
• Working closely with the class teacher and other TAs in your group to provide holistic support to your young people.
• Some pupils require Personal Care including toileting, changing and personal hygiene.
• Some require Moving & Handling support with wheelchairs and hoists.
• Most pupils are working on the Engagement Model of learning which focuses on 5 main areas: Exploration, Realisation, Anticipation, Persistance & Initiation.

• This is a special needs school in south Manchester for young people aged 4-16 with Autism, Complex Needs, Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties, PMLD and Severe Learning Disabilities, SLD.

• Have an enhanced DBS certificate (or be happy to apply for a new one).
• Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable)
• Minimum of 2 professional references.
• Provide a CV with a full history from your education until present.
• Have the legal right to work in the UK.
• Some experience supporting children or young adults with special needs.
