You will identify and implement change and improvements in operating efficiency, peoplecapability and customer focus within the team with particular emphasis on process governance and harmonisation.You will also take a key role in shaping and embedding the assisted scheduling tool across each service line.Responsibilities include

  • Work with operational counterparts to ensure a framework of effective communication between planning and operational teams is in place, that this is being adhered to and that priorities are aligned
  • Work across the business lines to harmonise processes
  • Implement a team structure to manage the day to day duties of the planning teams across multiple service lines, ensuring expectations are set and understood
  • Act as point of escalation for the Planning Team Leaders to aid resolution of more complex internal and client issues
  • Transforming processes and embedding best practice to support operational efficiency and travel metrics
  • Work closely with the other managers across the division to deliver collective responsibility for end to end ownership from contract set up through to invoicing
  • Implement robust reporting, forecasting and control mechanisms to enable efficient scheduling requirements
  • Implement systems that support the field force and supports the growth of the business
  • Ensure all critical processes are mapped and documented appropriately and that they are applied consistently
  • Ensuring customer engagement is proactive, relevant and professional
  • Overall people management responsibility including engagement of team, development, recruitment & retention plans
  • Responsibility and engaged in delivery of key improvement projects / process improvements and foster new ideas for change
  • Drive substantial improvement in Commercial / Customer Focus skills within the teams
  • Stakeholder Engagement Network across the business, building relationships with Key business stakeholders
Who we are looking for We are looking for an experienced planning manager with a positive approach to the challenges of change. Someone who can identify and drive process efficiencies and successfully deliver key improvement projects. The role will require strong commercial awarenessand project management skills.You will be managing and developing an existing team of Planners so strong leaderships skills will be essential. As will strong communication skills and the ability to build a stakeholder engagement network across the business.
