Job Description

PhysiotherapistWe are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Physiotherapist with Moving and Handling Advisor experience to join our Client’s multidisciplinary team.Job Purpose :The Physiotherapist will ensure the provision of a high quality, people-centered service which understands the causes of service user needs in order to improve their opportunities and independence.The Physiotherapist will manage the delivery of complex assessments of both children and adults with regard to Moving and Handling complex equipment, major adaptations which are responsive to the social care needs of the service user in a sensitive and appropriatemanner considering and implementing a range of available solutions and interventions.The Physiotherapist Key Duties will be:

  • Identify, understand and respond to the health and social care needs of service users by providing relevant services to ensure positive outcomes whilst ensuring quality and cost-effective services.
  • Carry out holistic assessments which are responsive to the needs of Manchester residents including where appropriate, to plan, implement and evaluate the provision of rehabilitation services.
  • Deliver professional and detailed advice and assistance with regards to options available for the equipment, major adaptations, daily living techniques and care/support needs of service users to promote better outcomes.
  • Identify current and potential safeguarding risks and refer where appropriate, assisting in investigations of allegations to ensure vulnerable service users are protected.
To work as The Physiotherapist,you will need the following:
  • Must have the Eligibility to Work in the UK
  • Must have experience of moving and handling – doesn’t need to be an OT.
  • Must be used to slings, hoist, plans and training family members.
  • Must be able to hit the ground running and doesn’t need upskilling.
  • Must be Trusted Assessor Level 4 qualified or experienced in assessing for equipment and major adaptations for activities of daily living.
  • Must have a Full driving license and access to a car for business use.
