Job Description

Payroll Specialist - Up to £30,000- Manchester Working in partnership with Search, this innovative, ambitious and hugely diverse national organisation is seeking a Payroll & Specialist to join their Team. Based in the Manchester Shared Service the role will report in to the Head of Payroll and is responsible for the delivery of Payroll to all employees of the Firm through the delivery of an effective, efficient and client-focused Payroll service based in their prestigious Manchester office.Were looking for an experienced payroll specialist to join the team and help make the service they provide quicker, easier and more effective for customers across the business. Role requirements:

  • To manage payroll operations, ensuring each stage of the payroll process is properly actioned, that staff are paid correctly and correct payments are made and appropriate information is communicated to our pension providers, HMRC and other statutory and pension scheme bodies
  • Process starters, leavers, absences, monthly changes and calculate payments such as overtime, statutory payments such as SSP, SMP, Pensions and other adjustments
  • Key Skills and Competencies
  • Extensive experience of managing payrolls in a medium to large organisation
  • Full understanding of PAYE, National Insurance, Taxable Benefits and Auto Enrolment & HMRC reconciliations
  • Passionate to provide high quality customer service
  • Self-motivated, flexible and demonstrating strong evidence of a collaborative working style
  • Proficient in using payroll software and Microsoft Excel
  • Prior experience of parallel running/payroll migrations
  • Some knowledge of international payrolls would be advantageous but is not essential
