Job Description

The Company Overview:Butler rose are partnered with a fast paced, family oriented and sociable charity organisation based in South Manchester who are looking to recruit a Payroll Officer. This is a rare and highly rewarding opportunity to become part of a company who are activelymaking a difference to the community. There will always be plenty of scope for development and progression as senior positions are always filled through internal promotions.They now have an immediate requirement for a Payroll Officer to take up a labour-intensive role. As a result, you will need to be either immediately available or available at short notice. This is a great opportunity, that doesnt come often, to become partof a large payroll. This is a permanent position (37.5 hours) working in the office 5 days a week, with some flexibility on start and finish times. There are opportunities to work overtime, which would increase your overall salary.Your new role as a Payroll Officer:Producing weekly and monthly payroll for staff membersProcessing paperwork for starters, leavers, and changes.Receiving and verifying timesheets, inputting, and calculating gross payAdvising employees in relation to payroll queriesProcessing of all statutory payments alongside company payments where applicable.Producing monthly journals for cost allocation.Recording holidays in line with terms and conditionsThe Experience & Qualifications Required:The successful Candidate shall be/have:At least 6 months experience completing Payroll dutiesExperience working with timesheets would be desirableHardworkingExperience with iTrent would be beneficialComfortable meeting tight deadlinesA background of working in housing would be a bonusGood communicator both written and verbalYour Reward & The Package on Offer:As a Payroll Officer, you shall receiveA salary between £21,700 - £24,000 depending on experience20 days Holidays and 8 Bank holidaysPensionPaid enhanced DBSInterested Apply or get in touch onn (M): or (T): to speak to Sonia Sidje to discuss the role further!Who Are Butler RoseButler Rose specialises in the recruitment of accountancy and finance professionals, from transactional and part-qualified appointments through to Group FDs.With offices in Manchester, Preston, Leeds, Birmingham, Exeter, London, Milton Keynes and Southampton, we work with a range of businesses across the UK from SMEs and local accountancy firms to large Plcs and the Big 4, as well as many public sector and not-for-profitorganisations.
