Job Description

Payroll ManagerPermanentFull Time£40,000 per annumOur client is looking for to an appoint a Payroll Manager who will be responsible for the payroll processing and administration primarily for the UK and US employees.Yow will also have responsibility for administration of the smaller operations in Belgium, Canada, France, the Netherlands and Switzerland. For the UK & US in particular, this role encompasses payroll processing via ADP on a 2 weekly and monthly basis, ensuringthat changes are reflected accurately in the payroll system, required statutory and tax filings are completed and that employee queries are resolved in a timely manner.Key responsibilities of the Payroll Manager:* Updating standard payroll data in the ADP system* Running the UK payroll monthly, including staff benefit calculations, and US fortnightly in line with ADP system processing deadlines and ensuring accuracy of each payroll. (UK - c210 employees, US c12, Canada c5, France c3, Netherlands c3, Belgium c2 butwill grow over the next several years)* Reviewing payroll related e-mails and resolving any staff queries* Posting the payroll journal onto the finance system for completed payrolls, including the Canadian payroll which is outsourced* Liaising with HR around new starters and assisting with associated employee administration* Completing required statutory/tax filings such as furlough reclaims and P11Ds* Producing payroll analysis to help understand the impact of changes in employees or legislation* Monthly FTE/Pay reporting* Producing manual pay calculations for any required advance staff payments* Processing new starters and leavers accurately, including calculation of annual leave pay adjustments* Setting up meetings and liaising with finance monthly regarding payroll calculations* Managing the benefits system and applicable changes* Keeping up to date with relevant regulations/legislation and determine the impact of any changes, taking action to implement changes where necessaryKey requirements for the Payroll Manager:* Previous experience in a similar payroll role* Strong knowledge of payroll systems, UK taxation and national insurance rules* In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation relating to payroll and pensions* Organised approach to tasks and able to prioritise effectively across different work streams* Display a high standard of work and able to take ownership of tasks, meeting deadlines and goals assigned to you* A team player with a flexible approach* Knowledge of US payroll legislation or previously processed US based employees payrolls* Experience working across cultures and with remote teamsIf you are interested in this Payroll Manager position and feel your experience matches the criteria, then please apply now for immediate consideration or for more information please contact Andrew Davison.Medlock Partners are a professional services recruitment specialist operating across the North West of England.
