We are looking for a passionate and motivated Part-Time Support Workerwho is keen to impact the lives of vulnerable young people and adults at risk of homelessness. You will join us in Palatine Road, Manchester on afull time, permanent basis and in return you will receive a competitive salary of £12,120 Per Annum (FTE £20,200) Plus Pension and Other Benefits.One of the biggest homelessness charities in the UK, for more than 30 years weve worked alongside young people facing homelessness. We offer accommodation, practical support and the wellbeing resources that the people we work with need to get back on theirfeet.ThePart-Time Support WorkerRole:In your role as aSupport Workeryou will be responsible for supporting our 16-21 year old residentsto move from hostel living to their own independent accommodation.This is a part-time role working 3 days per weekto include weekends. The contract is for a fixed term of 12 Months.You will be supporting young people to move towards independence and ensure that they are able to take control of decisions affecting their lives, as well as taking an active role in the upkeep of the physical spaces of the accommodation.You will provide one to one support to a small caseload of residents, addressing their physical, emotional, social and behavioural needs and helping them progress towards independence. Additionally, you will support all residents by running group sessionsand activities within the hostel.What we are looking for in ourPart-Time Support Worker:You will have excellent communication skills and be committed to the values and ethos of Depaul UK.
