Job Description

The Company: Nationally renowned wealth advisory business with over 50 years trading in the financial advisory space who are currently looking to add a private wealth focused Paraplanner to their technical team based in Central Manchester.Their paraplanning team in Manchester houses circa 6 staff currently, and with this hire further expanding that side of the business its an ideal time to join and be part of that structure in advance of their aggressive growth plans across the next 2/3 years.The Role: Sits within the firms research/report writing team working closely alongside advisers to provide HNW private clients with advice; helping them achieve their financial goals in a lifestyle planning style of advice. Standard duties& responsibilities for this Paraplanner role include:

  • Checking of Fact Find Information to ensure it meets FCA requirements
  • Assisting with the identification of demands and needs and possible solutions
  • Checking assessment to investment risk and capacity for loss
  • Carrying our research on existing arrangements
  • Carrying out whole of market research on products meeting clients needs and objectives
  • Ensuring supporting documentation and records meet FCA requirements
  • Preparation of recommendations and suitability reports
  • Communicating with clients and providers
Benefits: 26 days holiday + stats, 4.5% pension, 4xDIS plus a flexible benefits package (20% of salary)Flexible working: Yes - 3 days in the office/2 days working from homeThe Person: Applicants must have detailed knowledge of the private wealth sector and will ideally come with 2+ years experience of paraplanning. QCF level 4 Diploma qualifications are preferred but arent essential with hands-on, practicalparaplanning experience being the necessary.
