Job Description

Nelson Permanent Placements are currently recruiting for an Experienced Business Development Manager to join our client based in the Manchester area who operate within the Packaging Manufacturing Industry. This a new role in the business due to growth and significant investment into their Paper Products division.You will report to the General Manager of the business and will be responsible for driving business sales in your area. The Business Development Manager must have experience selling Paper products and be commercially aware.This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to join a growing business and oversee the running of our clients paper bag department.Package & Benefits

  • Essential Experience:
  • 2 years plus experience of face to face sales out in the field
  • 2 years plus new business experience
  • 1 year plus paper bag experience
  • Commercial industry experience
  • Responsibilities
  • Creates own leads in accordance with sales strategy.
  • Cold calling, face to face sales, new business development.
  • Achieve Sales targets.
  • Generate new business with new / existing customers.
  • Maintaining relationship with existing customers - product development
  • Providing excellent customer service.
  • Resolve serious customer credit/quality issues
  • Follow up all enquiries
  • Ensure Credit checks are conducted / approved on new business.
  • Prompt and accurate reporting to management.
  • Where necessary support accounts department in debt chasing on overdue customer accounts.
