Job Description

Our client is looking for an experienced Oracle Developer to join asap during an exciting period of growth. They are looking to recruit an Oracle Developer to Develop and Support their IT Applications within the dedicated IT team.Skills/Experience required:• Oracle database development• SQL and PL/SQL• APEX - Application Express development & administration• Database administration in a Linux/UNIX environment, i.e. RMAN, network configuration, Enterprise Manager• 2nd Line support for databases and associated applications• System design and implementationDesirable • Experience working in financial services, ideally Banking• Knowledge of Oracle Flexcube• Understanding of Windows Servers• SQL Server experience• SAP Business Objects• IBM MQ• Webserver knowledge (WebSphere/WebLogic/Apache)About the roleThis role will be responsible for the development, support and exploitation of all the business system applications. Other responsibilities include:• Carry out development, testing and implementation of software, systems and enhancements to their IT applications• Coordinate IT business information/activity including interpretation of technical documentation• Produce good quality documentation• Deliver appropriate and efficient IT applications resource to IT projects, act as technical expert and technical lead for application related projects• Write and understand database queries• Plan and manage your project work streams• Support members of staff with requests for new reports and general IT support issues• Ability to drive change• Enthusiasm for self-improvement and continual learning• Ability to interpret complex regulatory and requirement documentation• An effective communicator – able to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical colleaguesMy client is committed to helping their employees reach their full potential through providing continuous learning opportunities, and the tools and training to help them grow.They encourage a sense of individual ownership whilst fostering team spirit and are firmly committed to the diversity of our workforce.
