Job Description

ORACLE DBA, based in Manchester, £41,000 - £51,000 plus Excellent Benefits Package. A large-scale and dynamic organisation based in Manchester is looking for an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to join their established team. As a talented Oracle DBA, you will be working within the Database team providing DBA support to variousdatabase systems as well as being involved in ad hoc project work. These will range from large enterprise business systems to smaller databases across a variety of technologies and platforms such as Oracle EBS R12.1.3 & 12.2.

  • A demonstrable history of working as an Oracle DBA within an enterprise environment.
  • Solid knowledge of both Oracle 11g and Oracle R12.1.3
  • Knowledge of cloning databases and AD utilities would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Solaris, Linux and Windows platforms.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to deal with complex problems and provide creative solutions
ABOUT THE ROLEAs the Oracle DBA you would work with other DBAs and system administrators and possibly business users to understand their issues and requirements; to define and develop fixes and solutions. The candidate will have experience supporting high availabilitysystems and scalable architectures as well as experience in a large database operation environment.This will primarily be a day-to-day support role; however occasional short-medium term assignments to ongoing projects may form part of this role.ABOUT THE COMPANY The company are currently going through a major Transformation and Change programme with leading technology partners and a large new build programme/expansion, working with cutting-edge tech.
