Job Description

The Operations Manager will support the delivery of the logistics operational strategy and annual business plans. The role includes the effective management of all operational processes, resource and people within all of the logistics sites. To provide anexcellent customer experience for all internal and external customers within agreed objectives and SLAsClient DetailsOne of the UKs growing 3PLs and fastest growing distribution and specialist providers.DescriptionThe key responsibilities for the Operations Manager based in Manchester will be are:

  • To lead, recruit, performance manage, train, develop and motivate the operational Logistics divisional teams
  • Build strong relationship across all sectors to support the continued improvement plan and efficient operating of the sites.
  • Bench mark all processes and implement new ideas, technology and systems to ensure the Logistics operation is efficient and flexible to meet our customer demands.
  • Providecontinuoussupportandexpertadvicetodrivethenewoperationaltransformationprogrammeandgrowth strategy.
  • To achieve all production, compliance targets and SLAs ensuring the most cost effective use of resource and services
ProfileThe successful candidate for the Operations Manager will have the following requirements/experience.
  • Be forward thinking - Takes personal ownership for effectively analysing problems and creating solutions with an emphasis on continuous improvement
  • Have previous experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrate high standards of verbal and written communication.
  • Be able to develop and maintain sound working relationships with and between all departments to maximise the service we provide our customers.
  • 3PL experience would be a distinct advantage
