Operations ManagerLocation: ManchesterSalary: £40,000 - £50,000A £15m T/O Freight Forwarding and Logistics business are recruiting for an Operations Manager to head up their growing team. With an existing national and global presence my client have clear growth plans for the business, this is a really exciting opportunity for the right personThe Operations Manager will have the following attributes:* Adopting a continuous improvement approach, ensuring safe, environmentally sound and efficient operations* Responsible for meeting operational targets, liaising with key stakeholders where appropriate* Working alongside the Operations Director, contribute to the business plan by developing existing business and maximising new business opportunities* Monitor and advise on any issues that present a risk to the business, reporting to senior management efficiently* Support decision making by partnering with key stakeholders and delivering quality management information by interrogating bespoke inhouse system* Promote the business internally and externally with the upmost professionalism* Liaise with the Finance Manager regarding payment/invoice queries* Review and manage insurance claims against the business, manage the claims appropriately and efficiently, mitigating issues* Receive, document and manage employee complaints according to company policy* Partner with traffic team, supporting with fleet scheduling and ensuring legislative documentation is correct* Support the sales team with new business enquiries, providing information where requiredThe successful candidate will have the following attributes:* Previous experience working in a highly commercial Freight Forwarding/Distribution business essential* Strong people manager with proven experience managing large teams* You will be resourceful and hold entrepreneurial qualities to drive depot performance* Proven analytical thinking and project management skills* Ability to influence business decisionsIf this sounds like your next opportunity and would like to find out more about the business then get in touch with Shannon Preston at Dynamite Recruitment on Keywords: Freight Forwarding, Freight, Logistics, Distribution, Global Freight, Import, Export, Operations, Operations Manager, Stakeholders, Customs, Cargowise
