No doubt at Express Solicitors we rate skill and ability above all else and our recruitment policy encourages applications from all.About the role:Express is currently looking to appoint an Operations Administrator to assist the Operations Team and offer general support to the organisation.The main elements of the role will be to complete routine centralised processes including mailshots, administration of insurance policies related to personal injury claims, document template maintenance, bulk transfers of cases between file handlers and assistance with reporting and management information requirements of the firm.Additionally, the role will encompass aiding the Operations Team in respect of contracts, subscriptions, and periodic compliance processes. Support may also occasionally be required by the Managing Partner and other members of the senior management team.Please note, this is a new role and therefore the scope of responsibilities will likely evolve as the role becomes established.An opportunity for a rewarding career exists for the right candidate and training and guidance will be given.Job Duties:

  • Administration of the various insurance schemes operated by the firm
  • Creation and maintenance of legal template documents used on the Proclaim case management system
  • Transfers of cases between file handlers using centralised processes
  • Management of routine, periodic and ad hoc mailshots and e-shots
  • Administration of company documentation including version control and compliance
  • Providing administrative assistance with the maintenance of contracts etc in the correct filing systems and ensuring diaries for renewal and termination dates are maintained
  • Assistance with regulatory processes e.g. annual renewal of Solicitors Regulation Authority authorisation
  • Assistance with the correct implementation of regulatory requirements
  • Various ad hoc duties commensurate with the role
  • About you:Essential criteria
  • Experience of working in an administrative/clerical role
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office software including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • A positive attitude and ambition to succeed
  • Understanding of the legal industry and personal injury claims process
  • Desirable criteria
  • Advance knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience of producing reporting data
  • Experience of working in a professional or service industry
  • Experience of working within a regulated environment

  • Our standard working hours are 8:30am to 5:30am Monday-Thursday and 8:30am to 5pm Friday
  • 23 days holiday, rising 1 day per year to a max of 26 days, plus bank/public hols. Please note, the office is closed between Christmas and New Year and 3 holidays are reserved for this period
  • 3 holiday buy backs per year after 1 year of service
