Job Description

Our client is a market leading Financial Services business who are seeking an experienced Operational Resilience Manager to support the Head of Business Resilience in the development and implementation of the Group’s Operational Resilience Framework andassociated policies. The successful candidate will be responsible for improving the Group’s resiliency and enabling the Group to plan for and respond to significant business disruption and implement actions to mitigate foreseeable adverse impact. Key Responsibilities

  • Support and lead on elements of the Operational Resilience Framework
  • Engage with senior leaders and relevant SMEs across the Group to map out the important business services
  • Develop impact tolerances for each of the important business services and engage with relevant SMEs across the Group to identify metrics and coordinate reporting
  • Manage incidents through to a satisfactory resolution in an efficient and effective way
  • Complete post-incident reviews and support the business in utilizing lessons learned to promote best practice and enhance processes
  • Maintain business continuity documentation to the required level on at least an annual basis or upon a material change to the business
  • Analyze the Group’s business continuity requirements and develop robust recovery strategies in relation to the prioritization of service continuity/disaster recovery plans
  • Complete horizon scanning and monitor any threats or risks to the business, keeping a high level of awareness around business interests
  • Develop a process to analyze information provided by third-party suppliers in relation to their business continuity capabilities and provide recommendations to the on-boarding and third-party management teams
Requirements
  • Working knowledge of the appropriate standards and regulations e.g. ISO22301 and FCA/PRA/BoE publications in relation to Operational Resilience
  • Management skills; proven engaging and inclusive management style, with experience of having managed Business Continuity/Incident Management/operational processes/risk management initiatives
  • Analytical skills – able to analyze and interpret key facts across a spectrum of data sources, providing stakeholders with clear and concise recommendations and reports
  • Proven stakeholder engagement experience, including experience of working in a matrix management structure
