I am currently working with the fastest growing Freight Forwarder in the North West. They are offering an exciting new position working in their Import department organizing customer shipments by Ocean freight to the UK from destinations throughout the world.The job will entail dealing with handling the Imports process from Start to Finish. Salary: Flexible dependant on experience Hours of Work: 09.00 - 17.30, Monday to Friday Duties to Include: * Checking and monitoring of Inbound arrivals* Booking in shipments* Perform customs clearance activities in accordance with HMRC guidelines i.e. C88 declarations - use of Destin8 or CNS system is a benefit but not essential* Arranging Transport* Producing accurate paperwork for all import goods.* Monitor and check all Operational files including arrivals and schedules* Costing of files and sending Invoicing* This role will also offer a training programme to develop into a multi-modal freight forwarder* Other duties as required within the Import departmentKey skills required for the role:* Good working knowledge of the importing of goods.* Experienced in Sea Freight Imports is Essential.* Excellent customer service skillsSearch is an equal opportunities recruiter and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified applicants, regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/beliefs, sexual orientation or age.
