Job Description

Dedicated Exploitation Service - Non StatutoryA Local Authority based in the Greater Manchester region is seeking an experienced Social Worker to work alongside the Police to do direct work with service users at risk of or affected by ExploitationHighlights:

  • This post does not involve any case holding and instead focuses on direct work with young people
  • The position is Non-Statutory in the sense you will not be required to carry out Court Work or Child Protection processes
  • You will be working closely with the Police and be based within the Police station
  • Will be working autonomously and will have the opportunity to manage your own diary
  • The post does require more face to face contact with clients so you will be based at the Police station on a regular basis
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Social Worker to take on a post which will see you work within a highly specialised post working very closely with colleagues from the Police task force that also specialise in Exploitation. This post doesnot require you to case hold and you will not be completing the traditional statutory tasks that is usually expected from a Child Protection and/or Court Team. Instead work will be focused around doing direct work within children and young people that maybeat risk or are affected by Exploitation.As well as working with the police you will have the opportunity to work with other services provided by the Local Authority to help provide support and direct services to clients.To be considered for this post you should have extensive experience working as a Social Worker and specifically working with service users at risk of Exploitation.To find out more about this post or to discuss alternatives feel free to contact me, Rico on extension 7137.
